Tot TV Watch

With a heavy heart, I have decided that it is time to say goodbye to Tot TV Watch. I’ve had a wonderful time writing for 451 Press and hopefully you’ve enjoyed reading all about children’s television during my stay here. My reasons for leaving are personal in nature. While blogging is a very important part of my life, my family is more important and right now they need my attention.

I’ll miss all of the friends I’ve made here at 451 Press and all of you who have been devoted readers. I hope that someone will be able to pick up where I left off and continue to bring you all of the best news and reviews about kids’ TV shows. Who knows, maybe someday I’ll be back!

Way back in February, shortly after this blog was started, Tot TV Watch was featured over at Love Shak, Baby.  They had some very kind words to say about my blog, so I wanted to pass along a little bit of info about Love Shak, Baby’s very first contest.

The big news around the Nick Jr. camp today is all about the new series Yo Gabba Gabba! that they just picked up. Yo Gabba Gabba!, set to premier Fall 2007 is a live-action magazine-style series that will showcase music and song while highlighting simple life lessons and experiences common to preschool age children.

Yo Gabba Gabba! will star DJ Lance Rock (Lance Robertson) as the host, along with five friendly toy monsters who come alive in a world of song and dance. It will feature a retro style and beat driven music, as well as animated segments, special guests, real kids, and puppet characters.

After viewing some of the sample clips on the Yo Gabba Gabba website, I’m not sure that this will be one that will play often in my house. It creeps me out just about as much as Boohbah and the Teletubbies do. But please check it out and judge for yourself. You can view four short clips here or on their MySpace page.
