New Show on CW 4Kids: Huntik - Secrets & Seekers
Friday, January 2nd, 2009Tomorrow, January 3, 2009, the new show called Huntik - Secrets & Seekers premieres on the CW 4Kids Saturday morning block. This new show’s target audience is ages 6 to 12 like most of the other shows in the CW Saturday morning line up. It is an animated show categorized as an action adventure comedy. The website’s short description of the show is that it is “about a group of seekers traveling around the globe in search of ancient amulet that can evoke different types of monsters.” It sounds like it fits in with the CW type shows and likely to be enjoyed by those who like watching the shows.
In this show the Huntik, who are the Seekers, travel around the world including South America, Europe, Africa, and North America as they search for the hidden Titans. The Titans are the monsters that are powerful and magical creatures that can help fight the dark forces from the underworld. The Seekers I assume are looking for them for the use of Good. The Evil group that wants to try to control the Titans are a secret organization led by The Professor.
The main characters that are part of the Huntik Foundation include Lok Lambert (a high school aged boy), Dante Vale (the king of treasure hunters), Sophie Casterwill (a high school aged girl with book smarts), and Zhalia Moon (a tough streetwise woman). The main characters that are part of the antagonists are The Professor (his goal is to conquer although the exact reason is unclear and his greater purpose is a mystery) and The Suits (the lowest level of the Professor’s organization and are used as his pawns to achieve his goals).
