Howl & Shriek Movie Week on Toon Disney

by

In honor of Halloween coming up this Friday, Toon Disney is showing some Halloween themed movies every night at 5pm and 8pm. There is a different movie for each night with two showings of it. The week is called Howl & Shriek Movie Week, as these are more on the scary side. See below for the five movies.

Monday, October 27, 2008 - The Haunted Mansion: This is a movie based on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland and other Disney parks. It is definitely one of the more scary Disney movies out there, but for the most part it is not too scary for kids about ages 5 or 6. In the movie a family ends up trying to break a curse on a house and save their mom.

Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - Phantom of the Megaplex: I have not seen this movie in a while, but I remember it being a good play on the Phantom of the Opera classic story with the story inside taking place in a movie theater.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - The Scream Team: This is a Disney Channel Original Movie about two kids trying to save their grandfather’s soul in order for him to move onto the afterlife.

Thursday, October 30, 2008 - Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman: In this movie Alvin thinks that their is a werewolf next door and soon discovers that it is true when Theodore becomes one, too. Alvin and Simon then work together to try and save Theodore from life as a werewolf.

Friday, October 31, 2008 - Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein: This time Alvin and the Chipmunks meet a Frankenstein monster. He turns out to be quite friendly and actually this one is not too scary like some of the other movies part of this week.
