Inside the October 2008 Issue of Nick Jr. Magazine
The Nick Jr. magazine is one of my favorite ones I subscribe to. It is great for kids and those that take care of kids, especially parents. Below is a short wrap up of what is found in the October 2008 issue of the Nick Jr. magazine. This issue is Halloween themed.
This edition’s cover features various Nick Jr. characters ready for Trick-or-Treating including Uniqua from The Backyardigans, the green Yo Gabba Gabba guy, and the duck from The Wonder Pets.
The Parents Connect pull-out magazine in this issue is called A-to-Z Fall Field Trips. Inside it has ideas of fall things to do with kids. It also has some ideas for how to decorate a pumpkin including a cool baseball player one. Also, inside I noticed an ad about the first full-length Yo Gabba Gabba DVD being released on October 14, 2008.
The main magazine has only two fall/Halloween themed activities including Toot & Puddle Whoosh! a fall story and a Boo Who? hidden picture activity. It is actually very disappointing that the activities are not very fall or Halloween themed, but there are some fun pull outs including Kids’ Wallet Cards with Backyardigans characters and Go, Diego, Go! Animal Masks, which even includes a penguin one. There are some other fun activities including The Wonderpets Save the Bengal Tiger game board, an activity of connecting some Nick Jr. characters to their homes, Blue’s Around Town Scavenger Hunts, an ABC Town activity that has a place for every letter of the alphabet, and a Yo Gabba Gabba!
