Kids TV on DVD: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - Mickey’s Treat
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey’s Treat is a nice Halloween themed DVD for preschool aged kids. It is not entirely Halloween themed, but it is better than My Friends Tigger & Pooh Hundred Acre Wood Haunt.
The first episode is “Mickey’s Treat,” which is the Halloween themed episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. In this episode the gang tries to find their way to Pete’s Halloween party before it is too late.
The second episode is “Goofy the Great.” It is not exactly Halloween themed, but since it is about Goofy being a magician I think it is a pretty easy stretch to call it within the Halloween category. In the episode they help Goofy with his magic act.
The third episode is “Doctor Daisy, M.D.” and it is pretty hard to make it seem Halloween themed. In the episode Daisy tries to get her pretend doctor sticker by treating pretend patients.
This DVD has several Bonus Features. First off it has the Little Einsteins “Halloween” episode. It also has Creepy Clubhouse Character Stencils, but they cannot even be viewed using a Mac, so I have no idea what they actually are. There is also a Spooky Clubhouse Cookbook. For this you can view recipes on DVD screen and/or print them out using computer (again Mac did not work with this). The included recipes are Mickey’s Pumpkin Cookies, Minnie’s Caramel Apples, Daisy’s Halloween Mud Pie, Donald’s Roasted Pumpkin Seeds, and Goofy’s Rice Creepy Eyes.
