Kids TV on DVD Releases 9/2

Here is this week’s edition of new releases of DVDs that feature kids shows. Some are previously seen episodes from television while others are straight to DVD episodes or movies based on kids TV shows.

3-2-1 Penguins: Save the Planets - This is a new DVD with episodes of 3-2-1 Penguins. The episodes on this DVD teach about overindulgence, sharing, and jealousy. This is likely to have good special features, as Big Idea usually really tries with their DVD releases.

Arthur Season 11 - This is the complete 11th season of Arthur.

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown - This is not exactly a new thing, but it is a new DVD release of the classic Halloween movie shown on television every October.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey’s Storybook Surprises - This DVD of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episodes includes ones based on fairy tales like Goldilocks and Sleeping Minnie.

Miffy and Friends: Miffy’s School Days and Miffy’s Surprise - This is two separate DVD releases of this show. Amazon says each has 9 episodes, but Amazon also says they are each only 60 minutes long, so I have no idea what it really contains.

My Friends Tigger & Pooh: Hundred Acre Wood Haunt - This is a fall themed DVD of My Friends Tigger & Pooh episodes including one about helping Piglet overcome his fear of thunder and lightning.

Postcards from Buster: The Case of the Coin Purloined - This is DVD release contains episodes of Postcards from Buster (a PBS show taken off the air years ago by many stations because of controversy). It really is a wonderful show that introduces kids to different places and different lifestyles.
