Kids TV on DVD Review: 3-2-1 Penguins: Trouble on Planet Wait-Your-Turn

3-2-1 Penguins!: Trouble on Planet Wait-Your-Turn is a good DVD to introduce kids to the 3-2-1 Penguins! show. It is not all that entertaining for fans of the show in terms of amount of episodes, as it only has one 30 minute episode. It is a pretty good DVD release, though, because it has a lot of special features as I have come to expect from Big Idea.

The special features in the Behind the Scenes section include How to Draw Zidgel, How to Draw the Ship, Progression Reel, and Concept Art. These are not the most interesting of special featurse, but kids may like learning how to draw parts of the show.

The Penguins’ World special features section includes 3-2-1 Bios!, Penguins Audio Commentary, and Space Academy School (Course 101) about the order of the planets. The audio commentary is not that interesting, as it is all a fictional commentary by the penguins and it is not a real one about the making of the movie like most of the VeggieTales ones.

The Hey Kids Section of special features has Penguins Karaoke, Space Maze, Hide and Seek, Recipes from Space, Family Fun Activity on Patience called Alphabet Soup, Interactive Storybook about playing fair and not cheating, and Easter Egg (Hidden Special Feature).

Overall this DVD release is worthwhile only for those who have never seen the show and want a Christian values cartoon that is a little more action packed than the VeggieTales shows. It is also good in terms of the amount of special features, but it is kind of disappointing that it only has one episode.
