Kids TV on DVD Review: iCarly Season 1 Volume 2
iCarly Season 1 Volume 2 is a two disc release of the second half of the show’s first season. I do not exactly like partial season releases, but it is better than only getting four episodes at a time like many kid show only get. This release contains 12 episodes along with bonus features on both discs.
The episodes included are “iAm Your Biggest Fan,” “iHeart Art,” “iHate Sam’s Boyfriend,” “iDon’t Want to Fight,” “iPromote Tech-Foots,” “iGot Detention,” “iStakeout,” “iCarly Saves TV” extended version, “iMight Switch Schools,” “iFence,” “iWin a Date,” and “iHave a Love Sick Teacher.” They are all pretty good iCarly shows in my opinion full of comedy.
Only reason this might not seem too worth purchasing is that the show still airs frequently on Nickelodeon. Personally I tend to lean towards only purchasing television shows when they are no longer regularly on the air, but I understand that when it comes to kids/tween shows it is sometimes worth getting to entertain them when away from home. Also, this one is kind of worth it in that it adds a good amount of special features, which you do not get by just watching the show on television.
The special feature on Disc 1 is Behind-the-Scenes Extras. The special features on Disc 2 are Behind the Slime with the Cast of iCarly and the pilot episode of True Jackson, VP. The bonus episode of a show that probably will not be on DVD until at least this season finishes is a great bonus for those that like both iCarly and True Jackson, VP.
