Kids TV on DVD Review: Rugrats All Grown Up: Interview with a Campfire
All Grown Up! - Interview with a Campfire contains the two part “Interview with a Campfire” special of the Nickelodeon show called Rugrats All Grown Up. The special is about the Rugrat kids and their parents going to a camp. At the camp they work together to try to put on a good musical called “Westward, No!” about people moving west in the covered wagon era. Tommy at the same time works on making a documentary about the original settlers of the town and the ghost story about the original settlers disappearing. It is overall pretty good if you like the All Grown Up series and not just the original Rugrats.
The DVD also has bonus episodes called “River Rats” and “Bad Aptitude.” In “River Rats” Tommy comes to terms with his childhood fear of water on a rafting trip. In “Bad Aptitude” the Rugrats deal with their aptitude test results and the recommended careers. The main focus is on Tommy’s film called Gesundheit being a flop and turning to the profession of businessman that the test recommended.
This DVD has one special feature called Campfire Ghost Story Activity. In it you choose one word on each page and create your own ghost story. It is kind of fun at least the first time, but basically the special feature depth stinks.
Overall this is a decent DVD release for fans of All Grown Up and it seems to sell pretty cheap on Amazon, so it is not a big costly DVD like some other ones that do not even have special features are.
