Lil’ JJ stars in Just Jordan

by Deanna

Just Jordan, a new series on TEENick, premiers on January 7th with back-to-back episodes. Teen comedian/actor Lil’ JJ stars as Jordan Lewis, an outspoken ninth grader who has recently been transplanted from Arkansas to California. Here’s the summary from the Nick.com web site:

Jordan is a regular kid from Arkansas and a recent transplant to South Los Angeles. He’s juggling a new school, working in the family diner with his grandfather and trying to regulate a new crew of unpredictable friends. Jordan and his friends try to “keep it real” but always find themselves having to navigate through the great kid injustices like, “How come girls like nice guys but they want to date the bad boys?” Whatever happens, Jordan is not going to take it lying down. He’s living life his way. Now, if somebody would just get life to cooperate…

I think the show definitely has promise. I like that they are showing a kid taking on the responsibility of working at the family diner as well as dealing with the questions that nearly every teen asks at some point. Tune in with your tweens and teens Sunday night and see what its all about.
