“Mater’s Tall Tales” Premieres on Toon Disney
As part of Toon Disney’s Howl & Shriek Movie Week the first in a series of Car Toons is premiering on Toon Disney. These Car Toons are animated shorts featuring characters from the Disney/Pixar Cars movie. The first one in the series is called “Mater’s Tall Tales” and features Mater (played by Larry the Cable Guy) as the main character. These shorts can be considered very early promotion of the Cars sequel currently set for a 2011 theatrical release. Personally I loved the Cars movie and think the Car Toons might be interesting, although the plot of Cars 2 sounds the most interesting, as it involves Mater and Lightning McQueen going on a world adventure. I could not figure out when exactly it is supposed to premiere, but it is sometime during the Howl and Shriek movies with a good chance it first shows tomorrow with The Haunted Mansion .
