New TV on DVD Releases 11/18

Here is this week’s edition of new releases of DVDs that feature kids shows. Some are previously seen episodes from television while others are straight to DVD episodes or movies based on kids TV shows.

Fairly Odd Parents - Season 6, Vol. 1 - Fairly Odd Parents is another show that is having its season released in split editions. It is basically a ploy to get more money and provide fewer special features if any at all. At least that is my opinion on Nickelodeon’s move to release their shows as partial season sets. It is even odder that they are releasing Season 6 at all since they have not done any sort of full or partial season sets for any of the other seasons. Anyways perhaps it will prove to be a good release with at least some decent special features. At least there is finally a good length set of episodes available for fans of this Nickelodeon cartoon show.

Hannah Montana: The Complete First Season - This release contains all the episodes from the first season of Hannah Montana. This is a 4 DVD set. It is supposed to have some good special features including a visit to Miley’s hometown (Nashville, Tennessee if I remember correctly).

Spongebob Squarepants - Season 5, Vol. 2 - This is the second part of Season 5 of the Spongebob Squarepants cartoon show. It has about 20 episodes of the show. Personally I never got into the show, but from what I hear the show has lost some of its funniness. It may or may not have any decent special features. It is Nickelodeon, so I kind of doubt the special feature aspect even exists.
