Nick Jr. Play-athon Play Date 8/4-8/8
Nick Jr. is having an Olympic themed week with new shows 8/4-8/7 at 9am and a sports themed line up on 8/8 from 6:30am to 10am. This includes episodes of the regular line up of Nick Jr. shows showing sports competition themed episodes (see line up below). Also, they have some activity ideas related to the Going for the Gold! activities online here. The online stuff includes Backyardigans Summer Games Pack of coloring pages, Backyardigans Race to the Tower of Power Coloring Pack, Dora’s Soccer Obstacle Course Printable Game, and Blue’s Clues Baseball Game Printables.
8/4 @ 9am - The Backyardigans: This new episode is called “Match on Mt. Olympus.” This is the episode that premiered on the latest Backyardigans DVD. The episode is about them playing a basketball game with the Greek gods.
8/5 @ 9am - Dora the Explorer: This new episode is called “We’re the Best Team Ever.” In this episode Dora and friends race through obstacles in the Super Adventure Race.
8/6 @ 9am - Ni-Hao, Kai-lan: This new episode is called “Sports Day.” This episode teaches about good sportmanship as they participate in the Dinosaur games. This totally could have also fit in with last week’s Dinosaur Play Date week, but I guess they decided they need it for this more full play date week.
8/7 @ 9am - Dora the Explorer: This is not a new episode, but is a well themed double length Dora episode that fits with the Olympic theme. It is the “Dora’s World Adventure” episode. It is about Friendship Day and Dora traveling to four sites around the world with one of them being China, where the Olympics starting this Friday are being held.
8/8 @ 6:30am - Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!: This episode is called “Widget’s Wild Race/Attack of the 50-foot Fleegle.” The first part is kind of a stretch to being Olympic themed, but it is about a race. The second part is no where near Olympic themed.
8/8 @ 7am - Go, Diego, Go!: This episode is called “Rain Forest Race.” In this episode Diego races through the rain forest with an armadillo.
8/8 @ 7:30am - Dora’s the Explorer: This is another showing of “Dora’s World Adventure.”
8/8 @ 8:30am - The Backyardigans: This is a replay of the episode called “Match on Mt. Olympus.”
8/8 @ 9am - Ni-Hao, Kai-lan: This is a replay of the episode called “Sports Day.”
8/8 @ 9:30am - Dora the Explorer: This is replay of the episode called “We’re the Best Team Ever.”
