Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play Tomorrow

Nickelodeon will go off the air tomorrow, September 27, 2008, for 3 hours in honor of Worldwide Day of Play. This is being done in an effort to encourage kids to get off the couch and play instead of spending those three hours watching television. It may not work out to well with other stations still have stuff to watch and is totally the opposite of one of the regular networks (ABC, maybe?) stay at home week. However, I think it will work out great if parents decide to unplug all televisions (and computers!) for the day. Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play has some resources of how to plan the day and ideas of ways to play. There is also a message board to share ideas and get more ideas from others.
