Premiere of iGo to Japan and New Nickelodeon Show This Saturday
This Saturday, November 8, 2008, an iCarly movie called iGo to Japan premieres along with a new Nickelodeon show called True Jackson, VP. iGo to Japan premieres at 8pm Eastern Time. True Jackson, VP premieres at 9:30pm Eastern Time right after the iCarly movie.
iGo to Japan is about the members of the iCarly web show and two guardians going to Japan for an international internet award show. Carly, Sam, and Freddie end up kidnapped when they get to Japan and then are parachute dropped to an unknown location. It ends up being up to Spencer and Ms. Benson to try to rescue the three before the award show. Sounds like it might be an interesting movie, especially for those that like iCarly, which in my opinion is one of the few somewhat decent Nickelodeon shows for older kids.
True Jackson, VP is a new live action show about a teenage girl (named True Jackson and played by Keke Palmer) becoming a Vice President of a fashion company. It sounds like it might be an interesting show for tweens and teens. It actually seems a little bit like an Ugly Betty show for teens. The first episode is about her first day on the job. On her first day on the job she soon learns that at least the fashion corporate world is not much different than being in high school. She quickly has to deal with cliques and mean girls while at the same time dealing with new responsibilities. It seems the main issue for True is dealing with another executive, who does not like that a 15-year-old has such an important job.
