Tot TV Watch

I am totally excited about the change of Toon Disney to Disney XD because finally Disney has something new and exciting to offer. Lately I have been disappointed by their music themed Disney Channel Original Movies and the new Sonny with a Chance show and the only other new show on the horizon for the Disney Channel is another music themed thing called JONAS. I still love Disney and do watch some of the shows that I have been around longer and am hopeful about the new movie Dadnapped coming on Monday, February 16, 2009. However, I recently have not watched it as much as I used to.

As for Toon Disney I have never watched it much. I like some of the cartoon shows, but others I just am not into. I mostly liked it for its movies. They are relaunching it as Disney XD on Friday, February 13, 2009. This includes changing the line up to some extent. For one they are launching a new live action/possibly partially animated show called Aaron Stone. Also, they are going to be adding some of the older live action Disney Channel shows including Phil of the Future and Even Stevens. I like these old shows, but I am most excited to see that The Famous Jett Jackson is going to be on Disney XD. The channel will still have many of the cartoons they show now, but it will have more of the live action stuff and it will be having some of its own original programming, which is something I do not think Toon Disney ever had. Basically Disney has realized that the Disney Channel programming has become more towards the girly side and they are trying to counteract that with more of the so-called boy shows on Toon Disney. Not saying that boys do not like the stuff on Disney Channel or girls do not like the Toon Disney stuff, but rather there are different types of shows certain kids like and I imagine you can easily have a favorite between the two while perhaps still liking the other. Personally I think I will be changing my preference between the two from Disney Channel to Toon Disney.
