Willow Smith Makes TV Debut on One Hour True Jackson, VP Special on July 25, 2009 on Nickelodeon
Willow Smith is the daughter of supposedly one of the hottest couples in Hollywood, but entirely out of the loop and only knowing actors by their roles and rarely even knowing their actual names I have never heard of her or her parents. By the way her parents are Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. The news of her making her television debut does not mean that much to me at first glance, but what she is making her debut on does peek my interest. The news interests me mostly because it means one of the few decent Nickelodeon shows, True Jackson VP, is going to have a one-hour special soon. The special premieres on July 25, 2009, at 8pm Eastern Time/Pacific Time.
The eight-year-old Willow Smith will be guest starring as a younger version of True Jackson. The special episode features several flashback scenes with Willow as True throughout the episode. In the episode True gets the chance to help Mad Style create the window display for a department store in New York City, which is something True has dreamed of doing since she was a child. At the same time the new school year has begun and she has to deal with balancing school and work.
It sounds like an interesting special. It should be good to see how True deals with having both a Vice President job and go to school, which is something I expected the show to deal with from the beginning. It will make the show seem a little less entirely fantasy and have some normal teenage stuff, too, but at the same time it might ruin the unique entertaining plots of just dealing with her as VP.
